Hyundai of Houston knows that your car is one of your biggest investments. The best way to keep a car running safely and minimize the need for expensive repairs is to keep the car properly maintained. To help you protect your Hyundai investment, we offer the following car maintenance tips for routine service all cars need:
Replace Brakes as Needed
All brakes eventually need to be replaced. If you drive a car with brakes that need to be replaced, chances are you will not only have to put in new brakes – but also rotors and calipers which are far more expensive to replace. Have your brakes checked or if you hear them making noise or feel them working less than they used to, get them replaced for both safety and financial reasons.
Change Oil and Filter Every 3 Months
Most cars need an oil and filter change around 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever happens first. Some Hyundai’s can go as long as 6,000 miles or 6 months, but check your owner’s manual for the recommendations for oil changes and make sure you keep up with it to optimize your cars performance.
Rotate Tires Every 6,000 Miles
Most tires should be rotated around 6,000 miles to help them wear evenly. If you forget to have your tires rotated, they’re not going to last as long as their anticipated lifetime and will need to be replaced much sooner.
After the tires have been rotated, they also need to be aligned. If you bring your Hyundai into Hyundai in Texas, they will also align the tires to extend their life.
